-I have had Webroot antivirus/antispyware software for about 3 years. Yesterday I got a request/offer from them to try out/assess their new beta software and they would add 3 months to my current membership. I don't know if the hassle involved would be worth the 3 months free. Can there be problems associated with new beta software that I could incur. As the above answerer said, it is a compliment, but beta testing is best left to experienced users.
So you be the judge of your own skill level; but betas aren't ready for public release, and they can be *quite* buggy.
If you keep all of your files backed up and are able to recover from a disaster (I'm not saying that it will happen - just that it could), then go for it.
But if a major malfunction is going to overwhelm you (again I'm not saying that it is going to happen, just that it could) - don't do it.You must know in the future that being asked to beta test by a product manufacturer directly is a compliment to you and your good feedback and reputation.
I have been creating a good reputation among software applications for years through my blogging and more. I mostly accept any invitation to beta test knowing there might be unexpected results not usually acquainted in the application. However, if you are worried about it putting your computer in jeopardy, don't be. These app creators absolutely do not want to damage the consumer's hardware.
GO FOR IT.
i only use the windows washer and the rest of my protection is free and it is just as good here is a link to a cool site

Why is the security code on my debit card says it's invalid on my app store on my iPhone?
-It used to be okay when I put the security code to buy something on my iPhone but now it say my security code is invalidIt's only the last 3 numbers not all 7...
many debit cards can't be used for online purchases. You need a credit card of visa debit

I have windows xp and I wanted to know, how do I get rid of a computer virus?
-Such as trojans, spyware and Warnings such as Attention:Danger pop up and it starts listing the cons of the having a computer virus.go to microsoft and run your computer through there scan. Sometimes that will do the trick and get rid of it. If no you save what's not infected and re=format you c drive and start over. Oh man I just hate doing this.
I have used a web site I yogi you pay for them but there good and they will spend house fixing all your problems. Cost was I think 125.00
Hey good luck. I been in your shoes.
Do a full system scan from a good antivirus. Free ones like avast will do.
http://www.avast.com/download-thank-you.php?src=http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_av_free.exe&product=FA&page=free-antivirus-download&locale=en-ww&avast=0
OR you may try some trials like that of kaspersky. (Personally will go for a trial version of kaspersky as it performs a preinstallation scan.)
You install them, do a full system scan and then delete or disinfect files. After this some files may go missing so have them replaced. These are generally .exe (executables) since they also had been affected. Simply reinstall and you're good to go.
Install a good antimalware program.. I am using Scanspyware and Malwarebytes for this purpose...
You can also try them..
Install a good anti-virus software. If you think your computer is damaged beyond repair, you could re-install your operating system with the CD's you were given when you purchased it.
I can't imagine there is any program on Earth for that.

What kind of security system do I need?
-I am having trouble with my step-son coming to our house when I am out of town and going through things. I know that things are out of order but he denies that he goes through things.
I was wondering what kind of video surveillance system I need to monitor my house. I want it wireless, only to record when it detects motion, and save it to an SD card or something similar.
Links to products would be great or if you have any personal experiences with products. Thanks! If you want to save a lot of extra money, go by you a baby monitor with a small tv and camera and hide it somewhere and it's so much cheaper. Plus it picks up every sound, because its meant for babies. They're very small and have night vision, my friends father used to use them for around the outside of the house in windows and you can easily just put them inside a stuffed animal or something.
