-SOME ONE HELP PLEASE...I would like to get rid of it ...I tried hiding it, there is no hiding this....?
I keep getting the following update...I install it and it keeps coming back, driving me nutty..
Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538242)
A security issue has been identified leading to MFC application vulnerability in DLL planting due to MFC not specifying the full path to system/localization DLLs. You can protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. The 2005 service pack is out dated, 2010 version is current

Go to Tools, Internet Options, the Privacy tab, then if you look just below the bar setting you will see a row of boxes with the names of Sites, Import, Advanced, and Default.Click on the little box that says Sites. Then there's a box where it says address of website. Now you type in the web address of the site that you don't want to allow access to your computer. I typed in both addresses just to be sure.
I would be a little careful in doing this, as you don't want to loose the updates, but if this keeps popping up after you've done the install, I would try it, and maybe you need the 2010 service pack like one of the answers said.
After I typed in the addresses I then clicked on Block.
