How does frostwire work? and how so i stay safe?

-okay, so i want to update my ipod but my brother used to always do it for me and i want to do it myself. Is frost wire legal? and safe for your computer? also how do i set it so i can get the music i want, but no one can look at whats in my computer or on my music files. Also what is leeching? it says that if u dont seed trackers may penilize you. what does this mean? please help!Peer-to-peer means a coordinating service (Frostwire) has it's clients (you and anyone else who 'joins') open their computers (perhaps specific files), and those clients upload what they have (called 'seeders') to go to the other clients as a download (called 'leechers').

This technique means that leechers get whatever is uploaded: good or evil. You have no way of telling what you're getting until it's "on board".

Not a great idea, since it can be anyone who joins the pool, and about half the 'Net is evil; half is good, and the other 10% use Linux.
