I bought a old ibm computer at garage sale but i dont have the administrator password.?

-So i bought this old ibm laptop probably made from 2004 at a garage sale for $3 dollar. To my suprise it worked but i dont have any access to the administrator account/password. I can only logged in guest and i have tried to install programs like windows password recovery but it blocks it from installing. So is there a way i can somehow get access to the account without reinstalling everything? thanksTry the offline NT password & Registry editor, it runs straight from the cd so doesn't need any windows interaction as it runs using a linux kernal. You can get it here (burn the .iso to a cd and boot from it)
