What happen if you click on those adds?

sometimes on the web you can find those adds ( especially on the streaming websites I find) that just say "download now" and "play it now". What happen if you click on that ?

I am always afraid that it leads to some kind of viruses, so to me come another question : Is there somebody who pays to have those adds put there? and if yes, we can understand that it actually works, but really??Once i pressed on it because on facebook it said, Do u want to see a video? click this then, and then it says u have to play a game or take a survey., then if u do that..., u will get a virus, that's how i got one.Yes someone is paying to put those adds there...but beware click on them at your own risk...it could lead you to a corrupt website which will infect your computer...and then you will wish you had not clicked it...but it will be to late...
